Ed Husic, the Australian Minister for Industry and Science, lamented Labour’s internal workings after his proposal to allow a debate on recognising Gaza failed to pass.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said described his outburst at a gathering as incompetent.
Husic responded by saying he was unbothered by criticism, declaring reporters: "put me in a cold chamber, I don't care at all."
The dispute followed failed attempts to push the party to declare events in Gaza as genocide.
Internal papers and internal files were later filed that revealed deep divisions within Labour’s ranks over policy and direction.
