World's top tennis players call truce in prize-money battle with grand slams - The Guardian

US Open singles winners got $5.5 million each

Zverev and Rybakina each pocketed $5.5 million from the 2026 US Open. This represented the biggest payday for singles. The payout went out on Sept. 13. Each one took their finals that day. Zverev took the men's title. Rybakina claimed the women's title.

The $5.5 million was the tournament's largest payout. No other player received more. The champions got equal money. There existed no gap between men and women. Every check matched exactly. The tournament awarded that sum to each winner.
