No flights in or out of Riyadh after Houthi attacks on airports - ABC News & Headlines - Australian Broadcasting Corporation

Houthi Attacks Halt Aviation Around Saudi Capital

Houthi missile strikes on airports near Riyadh have grounded all air traffic in and out of the Saudi capital as of 11 October 2026. At least 12 people were killed in the attacks, including an Egyptian woman confirmed as one of the victims. A Saudia Airbus was struck in an earlier attack days before the airport closures.

UAE airlines have cancelled or rerouted flights serving Saudi Arabia, and five services between Riyadh and Dhaka were taken out of operation. The disruption reflects ongoing Houthi targeting of Gulf aviation infrastructure. Travellers have been caught without options with no set date for when operations will resume.
