Pete Hegseth dismissed a top four-star general who was urged to drop an inside inquiry concerning a Kid Rock Apache flight incident. Hegseth also presented higher military honors to Marines and additional military personnel who served during the 2021 Abbey Gate attack in Afghanistan.
The Pentagon reported that Hegseth's official probe into the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan uncovered hidden files. In addition to the military probe findings, Hegseth stood firm by the LaNeve nomination despite reported hesitation expressed by federal lawmakers.
