Bandai Namco unveiled the Mobile Suit Gundam RG model and the RG Project vision on that day. Filmmaker Kenji Kamiyama is set to direct for the upcoming anime, planned to premiere in 2027. The project creates a brand-new Gundam universe, entirely distinct from prior canon. The XARX-ZERO is tied to the upcoming Gundam Rogue Orbit initiative. Kamiyama aims to build a new timeline for the franchise.
