A marine mammal was transferred from Marineland in Niagara Falls, Ontario to a Chicago aquarium. It died weeks later. The move happened before the animal died.
Marineland also relocated four dolphins and two belugas to an aquarium in Spain. Now the park no longer houses dolphins. Only belugas stay at the park.
The transfer left the grounds much quieter. Staff inspect the water and health conditions. Visitors notice a smaller number of animals. The park’s visitor count dropped.
The wooded surroundings remain the same. The water is still strong. The park retains a small number of belugas. Visitors observe fewer scheduled shows. The water continues to be clear.
