Humana is ending a number of Medicare Advantage plans in 2027. Non-renewal notices will be mailed in early October. One estimate says up to 600,000 members could be affected. Another source cites 64,000 seniors exposed to losing coverage. The letters are set to go out in early October, as planned.

The company has not specified which counties or plan types are being eliminated. This affords affected beneficiaries a limited time to compare alternatives during Medicare open enrollment. The carrier has not released a list of affected plans.
