Toronto police have taken two members into custody of the Canadian Armed Forces on charges connected to organised crime and kidnapping, the Department of National Defence confirmed. The arrests were made in Toronto and both soldiers were taken off active duty shortly after.
The DND said it is cooperating fully with the continuing investigation. No further details about the charges or the names of those involved have been disclosed.
