ASOS app users in Australia and elsewhere received a disturbing push notification on 6 October 2026, in what is being treated as a hack of the online fashion retailer. The message threatened customers with a data leak and threatened to leak customer data.

Users expressed serious worry on social media, with outlets including News.com.au, Nine.com.au, the BBC, and the ABC reporting significant public alarm. ASOS has not yet confirmed the extent of the breach or how many customers are caught up in the incident.
